I play nl50 but I just cashed out therefore I must start over please spare me the nonsense. Its an even stupider call on the turn with the 5's out there. You had the gutshot possibility which helps but that really only makes you 25% to improve on the river and you dont have 100% guaranteed implied odds to stack. Pot odds on the turn were 1/3. |

Your runner runner theory depends on her having the EXACT hand that you put her on and you were WRONG. Anyone paying attention to the hand watching you call down would know you are drawing and wouldnt pay you off anything when you hit. You'd get payed off by a full house.
And yes sometimes I make mistakes, no shit. I am saying you made a mistake here.
And if you put her on AQ then obviously you have to consider she can have AQ SUITED, right? |

how was this a mistake??
its not a theory... either AQ or AK is paying if I hit something.
this is the only case (1/8) that backfires |

AQ or AK is paying depending on the player, so I am saying its a mistake in the long run and especially at higher limits. AQ is paying but AQs is very likely too, a skilled player would hardly go past the flop with AQo in this pot. On the flop all you have is a gutshot which is trash odds, and then on the turn you have a 25% chance to hit a straight or flush on the river that can be beaten by alot of hands: AQd, AA, KK, A5. AKo is the only one out of 5 likely hands that pays you off and it would have to be a stupid player to pay you anything significant to justify calling runner runner w/out odds. Im just saying you are too likely to be drawing dead to chase runner runner shit for a stack-sized pot. A stacked-sized pot on this board is going to involve a full house.
Plus AK in the hands of a skilled player would give you even worse odds than this guy. The gutshot on the flop is nothing. |

the only reason I played is because Ive played like 50k hands with the villan.... and i know they will be more then happy to pay with close to nothing (yes, my img is that bad)
oviously its an insta fold for most other situations... but this was a situational thing.
at nl25 im not even thinking about a play like this... but at nl10 it works
and as for the "not knowing odds" comment, the bitch commited 2/3's of her stack with k9 vs my kq and then rivers a 9.. and uses the "I won, didnt I?" comment |

and its obv not a set/boat my mom can see that and she doesnt know what nlhe is.
this was the one in 8 combo's of AKs/AQs that bites back.
as you can see in HH, 3 orbits later I did the same thing, and stacked on a safe board. |
