Top pair, raise to $4 and fold to his $3 on turn....not a great play. You call and see the river, he is giving you good value to stay in the hand. If he bet pot size or more on turn than it would be a different story, but he was showing confidence in a pair because he bet outright from the beginning, maybe he had a draw too, but you can't decide that until he bets that way. |

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time | |

you can't fold that
at least call and see what he does on the river
3$ into 11$ pot? he could have done that with basically anything, such as 2 hearts |

ps. at 6 max tables, you should raise with AJo preflop, especially when there are limpers before you
make it like $2 or $2.5 to go |

i've actually been in this situation ALOT of times
i'll raise preflop, and then hit the flop, and then some geek will bet out .50$ into a 4$ pot, so i just reraise to 4.50$ and he insta folds. Also, alot of people do this on the turn after a flop bet (such as here)
most of the time, they are just prodding (i tihnk), to see if you had something like AK and missed and were trying to steal
thus, i would reraise to 2/3 the pot in that situation
for
1) I'm an aggressive player, and even if i end up showing down 2nd best hand, it helps build my image, which pays me off latah
2) alot of the times, he's just prodding w/ a bet like that, so you can force him w/ a strong bet, or convince him that you have 2 pair/set etc |
