hmm...i think this is a better play, but i'd appreciate any feedback on it (^_^) anyway, this is my advice:
don't open push flop. no reason for it. just bet 1/3 - 1/2 of his remaining stack and be happy to see him push or call. you'd like to get him to put all his money in here, but you can take a line that gets him to do this but simultaneously leaves you a cheaper way out if you don't improve by showdown.
so what i would do is...
bet $3 - $5 on the flop. if he pushes, gladly call. if he calls, check turn unless it's an A, K, or club, in which case put him all-in. if he checks behind on the turn, you take a free card to improve on the river and if you don't, you can generally check/fold.
so most of the time if you take this line he'll push the flop or turn, and you'll get all his money in with a hand that holds a lot of equity. but sometimes when you don't make the best hand, you'll escape without paying as much. |
