meh....you think he always has AK here? the board is so dry and its 3bet i'd assume AK could just flat and hope you shove turn... |

the way I interpreted the raise was, its like the new min-raise (min +1 or 2 or w/e)
and I just hate to get it in never better than a split ye know?
I feel this is really marginal either way  |

Yeah, but a lot of times people assume you will fold QQ or KK or JJ etc, on a flop like this. I probably flat and shove the turn, theres only AK to worry about and I still think that most people wouldn't minraise AK here, but then again some people are really stupid. |

Well with that read then its probably a fold, but given the fact that you were bet/folding the flop, you might as well check the flop like loco said. |

thats interesting, I never think of it that way. I almost always bet out because I cant count the number of times turn brought a set when I give up a freebie
but check call.. am I just trapping a weaker hand? or what, keep pot small? |

Well you can check call and re-evaluate the turn, which if he shoves/commits himself you can fold, but if he has a hand like AJ he might check behind the turn and you can show down cheaply and if he has a hand like KK QQ or w/e you might get value out of him on later streets where you wouldn't have by just front betting the flop. Also if he did set mine and you get 2 outted or w/e, thats fine because the majority of the time you'll win correct? |
