I'm guessing I should have check called the river, or perhaps even check folded. As played, do you call the river? All thoughts welcome

Very easy check call or check fold on the river depending on your reads on your opponent
On the turn bet you get a lot of value from hands like AK AQ AJ AT (sets, draws). The river is a very bad card for you, now your straight is no longer hidden. If you bet there even sets and two pair fold so there is no value in betting. Check and hope he bets small. I probably wont fold there.
