He says he had JJ but I think he had AA and finally said, ok.. this guy has trips... should I have called his last bet once he was pretty committed and just make small bets to get him all in? I know now that's what I should have done but I mean, should I do that in the future with trips?

I would just call there. You can get him in allin later.
Either do that or push.

you can also call his raise to $9 and c/r turn allin. but if he's this aggressive, the above line is better imo

i think if you push earlier, like on the 3rd or 5th bet, you get a call from AA much more often. you keep making obvious value raises without just shoving it in, and it never looks like you want him to fold. at least give him a chance to make a mistake for his whole stack :D

yea, the last observation is correct. I was trying to get the heated part of him but the last raise was obviously wrong.... ALL IN or call.... not a value raise... oh well, I'll know better next time
