nothing you can do here, no way you can put him on 35 since he wasn't the BB
i wouldn't slow play the flop like you did though, i'd reraise in case tegaz1 has a draw, esp at these limits
on a non-dangerous board you SHOULD almost always lose your buyin versus an overset
don't worry you'll get your own oversets |

im super super conservative because i 8 table and just try to minimize tough decisions, so i rarely EVER slow play sets, but if i do it's always heads up and usually on a board where the turn card basically cannot make a likely straight or flush... like K27 or something |

Yeah you really needed to reraise it there. I guess you could have gotten away from it, but at those limits I think two pair with Ax is a much higher probability then 44. I know some would frown on this play, but I would raise on the button with no raise in front of you. That way if an A or K hits you can take it down many times by betting the flop. If it's bet to you fold, and if you hit your 2, you're golden (unless of course they have 44) :D |
