DaEm0niCuS   United States. Sep 11 2007 19:10. Posts 3292 With no limpers the raise is fine. This board has almost no draws and anyone without an ace is very likely to be scared away when you bet. That said if someone does call you with say QQ JJ they will probably then check down because they think their hand has showdown value and didnt put you on an ace. Poker is full of bad situations, all you can do is minimize your loss's, its just part of the game.
