clearly its a bad beat, but my only piece of advice is with a bettor and a caller, raise on the flop with ur set. you dont want a possible flush draw to hit cheaply.

the problem with .25-.50 tables is that they don't mind to go allin with a flushdraw after the flop
so better to see the turn and they don't take the risk

nah, thats a bad mentality. too weak passive. you should be happy that they will call a raise with a flush draw. its -ev if you dont make the flush draw pay to draw. think about it, do you want to see free cards when u're drawing to a flush, or do you want to pay some other guy to see it?

dont be so weak tight, seriously, there are times to slowplay and there are times to be aggressive. if u're already playing 50NL you should know that by now.

this is a good thing

would you rather they miss and just fold or hit and take your stack

raise as much as you can get them to call on a draw... if they are willing to go all in, put them all in
