Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same

why not just raise to 40$?... it's almost like you're saying you have AA... the big blind isn't going to try for a steal but once in a while they'll have AA... this way if they go all in you'd save some money... unless you know them to be idiots what I usually do in this situation is to raise the short stack all in |

if you always go in with the worst hand youll never have a bad beat story

suppose i made it 80 and he pushed.
id bet betting 200+80+40:120 or 320:120, is this a call? it's enough against KK down, but against AA im totally fucked.
How about other hands? For example how would I treat 99 here? TT? AQ? |

I think I agree with naz, and you can fold to a push. However, with this action, a320 will push like never, it's not even a big concern. Also, with hands like 99/TT/AQ, I flat call and expect to be ahead or racing, and A320 should almost never call this either. |

if you raise to $80 and a320 pushes for effectively $120 more, then you're getting 200:120 on the side, since the main pot is protected by the allin geek. these are really bad odds and you can't call against anything but a pretty big range for this price. but a320 isn't going to push when you bet $80 if he has a hand that he would fold when you push, so take the money-saving option and raise to $80. |

Nothing bad about this, you isolated but couldn't win a coinflip. No worries, you have $8 of dead money in there. Not a bad spot at all |

Ok I have a question.
why not just callin it?
What other hands the other guy can have that might hurt your AK? any pp doesn't make a any diffrence for you as long as it's not AA,KK which you'd get called in both cases if you push anyway.
If he has somethin like Ax you have him dominated so you want him in. cause if an ace falls you can make extra $$ from him.
if he has like QJ or somethin it still doesn't affect your hand in a big way and actually you'd be favoured in the pot in the case of a three way AK,QJ,small PP.
if you are AK against 1 PP you are behing around %5
if you are AK against 2 samll PP (TT-) then you are behind aroun %3 to triple up.
I totally think you shouldnt isolate short stacks when you have AK,AA,KK
what you guys think? |
