i dont think you can avoid this because of the texture of the board and being oop
it MIGHT be ok to check/call the turn but this board is very draw heavy so i think you had to bet strongly there
the straight draw 68 probably isn't realistically something to worry about since he called 3.50 pf but something like AKh/AQh is possible, but it's possible to also put him on JJ or 77 or even a KK/AA flatcalling trap artist. i'm still not sure whether checking the turn is an ok play though.
