I think taking a free card is better :o You have a chance to make a winning hand and you won't get check raised |

I disagree, I think I would still stab at this regardless, because against an aggressive player if you check on the flop, he might just stab the turn forcing you to fold and then your freecard check might only get you to the turn.
If you stab here, you have several things working for you. You could take the pot right there without contest, if he has a lower pocket pair or something. If he only paired the Q, he might be cautious and just smooth call then check on the turn if he doesn't improve. This is probably the most favorable outcome caz your bet will get you to see the river.
My read on the hand would be that he had a small pair with how it was played preflop (limping in for cheap from EP to possibly flop a set), so I would for sure stab at it especially when he checks. Obviously your done if he shows any sign of playing back at you. |

I don't check behind here, however I do bet harder. To some people a $24 bet into a 38$ might seem like a feeler bet. |

I would consider 3 betting this flop I think he folds more than 50% of the time
I find a lot of these people will check raise with top pair trash kicker in hopes to pick up a pot rather than play a large one |

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same | |
