So much justice in this world. And I can console myself that my read was spot on, a middle pair, and I just got unlucky he flopped the FH.

If he had a middle pair, why would you call the flop raise seeing how you had no implied odds if you hit an A or K to get paid?

Idiot

wobbly go lose another 20k

this is such a poor board to 'steal later', despite having outs if called

12% chance of hitting on the turn.
Very high % chance of him raising turn if I check.
Very high % chance of it going AI if I check/AI turn because we're so deep anyway.
Flop call/showdown cash = 5%
12% > 5%
Any questions exalted?

ummmm lol go clarify your arguments

"Very high % chance of him raising turn if I check." you mean betting, right?
"Very high % chance of it going AI if I check/AI turn because we're so deep anyway." you mean the pot is large because its a RRed, right?

plz don't try to explain your logic to me

If you're only making this play on a A or K it is unprofitable, you apparently think you have implied odds when you clearly don't, wobbly's argument is correct but we both know you're never bluffing here, don't use fuzzy logic to explain your shitty play

If I check turn and he has TT he will raise in case I'm on a heart draw. If I check, he raises and I go AI he will call. Therefore if I hit on the turn I can get it AI.
Therefore 12% of the time I call flop I will make 20 dollars (assuming he's on TT).
Therefore 12% of the time I call .95 I will recieve 20

This is good

if you put him on a mid pair you should try to push him off it when you have the best equity if called. + hes definitely not always firing a second barrel with a mid pair if you call flop. You shouldnt draw for 6 scary outs in a reraised pot when you could be drawing almost dead.

Your logic is pretty flawed dude

And all the times he checks behind? The times he has KK? The times he has AA? The times he has a 9? The times HE has a flushdraw and checks behind? The times he has 77?

He's not going to always bet the turn with a midpair, in fact, 90% of the time I'd say he wont! Protecting against a heartdraw, what? He's not going to know what that even means for the most part, it's NL10 AND it's a reraised pot, he's hardly gonna put you on hearts the minute you call his raise.

You are being way too optimistic about your chances of winning if you hit..

Only time I'd call with AK here is if I thought I was ahead or for sure could bluff him off.. Just fold and wait for a better spot, honestly.

Hm.. Off-suite socks..Last edit: 31/10/2007 07:05
