I was thinking the same thing, but the implied odds are good here. The raiser almost always has high holdings or a high(ish) pocket pair. You know your cards are live and you are in position, If you hit a good flop you can take his whole stack. It is "risky" i guess, because a bad flop for 5c6c will come more often than not, but it has high potential. Which makes it worth it in the long run.
