how? UTG+1 raise in full ring from a short stack, i have jacks out of position c/r the flop is the best way to extract information as to what he has
AK, AA, KK, QQ or whatever
if i frontbet and he calls i have no idea where i'm at and it leaves me in a very awkward spot on the turn, checking the flop is by no means slowplaying it's just giving him an opportunity to make his hand more transparent |

you lead the flop you bet flop, why do you assume an overpair bigger than Jacks lol?
but more imoprtant, why do you always discuss back awful plays when the showdown shows how awful you played it |

what the hell are you talking about, checking an EP raiser when i have JJ is not an awful play he made a shitty call on the turn and caught one of his two outs and i doubled him up this is not an awful play on my part, i was able to deduce after checking the flop that he did not have an overpair and was able to safely bet the turn and river.
i played my jacks out of position cautiously and correctly so as not to double up a shortstack who may have had a bigger pair than i did.
if i bet the flop he probably would've called considering he called the turn which was a big card with only 1 card to the river, and then what would i do on the turn? there is no flush draw on the board and it's very very possible that on a flop like 227 he would be inclined to slowplay aces kings or queens, so i would then most likely check the turn and he would check behind and river a full house. taking the lead is not a bad play but it is not as good over the long run because of shortstack fish who slowplay big pairs because they have so little left on later streets that you're pot comitted to call them.
if you frontbet out of position with JJ or TT every time you call out of the blinds you are going to end up losing a lot of money. JJ and TT are always hands ESPECIALLY in full ring OOP to EP raises that you want to play very conservatively.
if i checked and he bet i may have raised or called depending on the size of his bet but if i checkraised and he pushed i'd be able to get away. frontbetting and getting called leaves me completely oblivious to where i am. by checking the flop i know i'm ahead and play accordingly. if i checked and he checked and the turn was a 3, then too bad he's getting doubled up. if i checked and he checked and the turn was an ace and he bet out i would've most likely folded. i have almost nothing invested in this pot so i'm not falling in love with my jacks just because they're an overpair |
