no.
first of all normally raise it 4xBB+1 BB / limper
because you are playing NL2 you have to do things a little differently
raise it to 6*BB + 1 BB / limper instead
this may seem like alot of money. but if u want to make money do this always, keep ur discipline, always 6*BB+1BB/limper
reason being no one will fold mediocre hands with ur 8c raise. but they might if u make it 14/16c, which is what u are aiming for so u can put them on a range.
secondly, this guy is showing a lot of strength. you need to think of this. why are you playing AQ? are you aiming to hit 2 pair on the flop?
if this is the case, just play any 2, all hands have the same chance
if you are aiming to hit top pair top kicker (Qhigh board) or hit a pair of aces queen kicker, then this flop grants that wish
this flop is pretty good for you so u need to either decide if you have the best hand or if u are behind. but if u think he has AA/KK, then fold preflop. otherwise i would try to get it all in. but AQ is one of the weakest "strong" hands so be careful and jjust play this hand as experience
also dont ever limp... unless u are drawing to a flush or oesd.
(limp means just calling)
on this flop decide if u have the best hand or not. if u think u probably do, raise him u dont want to just call
if u thinnk u "may" have best hand, raise this flop to a strong amount. if he calls then re-evaluate and consider folding, unless u know this guy is aggro and will go in with any Qx hand or even Jx hand
hands he will MOST LIKELY have here as well (since he 3bet) is either AK, AA, KK, or QQ
all of these hands absolutely crush you... so in general i just wouldnt call his 3-bet with this hand
but as played... i would fold flop |
