He called pre because hes loose.

He flops second pair with a top card youe unlikely to have hit.

Turn 4 changes nothing.

Figures there is a chance hes beat on the river as youve bet 3 streets, but has a hand with good showdown value.

Im not saying this is his line of thinking, but it isnt completely hopeless.

You betting 3 streets with the QQ and him being able to stack you when all you have is a pair is dodgy though.
