I felt like he was weak with his flop bet but his call of my raise confused me a bit. Hitting the king I figured I was best but also figured I was only getting a call there from a flush, and wanted to check for pot control. I normally bet in this spot but I guess I've gotten a bit scared - is that the right move? Anyway, then on the river I figure my turn check is inducing a bluff and I have to pay off a 1/3 pot bet.

what is he lead/calling with on the flop? set, flush draw, maybe like 65, 54 (if he plays those preflop), maybe a small overpair. that's probably his entire range. I would rather raise bluff the river than call as I really don't think we're good here very often, but he doesn't seem that strong either - it seems more like a blocker bet with a medium diamond than a boat/high diamond considering the small bet. Basically he almost never has a high diamond here unless he lead/called with the NFD anyway so unless he has a boat he can't call a river bluff raise.
One day good. One day bad. And some days, even hope
