Here is an example of why 2nl and 100nl are not that different, this also being a horribly misplayed top set (by me) from a long time ago when I first started playing.

Im just demonstrating how one can play horribly at 2nl and 100nl just the same and still win. In the same way that you can play well at 10nl and use the same basic poker knowledge at 100nl. And yeah check/calling or checking behind is often a very bad idea with top set.
