Moving up in stakes on 10 buy-in rolls from $25 NL, getting to $2000 NL in under a month and taking down a huge pot every time you make a ridiculous play like this
I'd say you've been obscenely lucky |

I don't see why so many people hate that play, i personally like that type of play, especially in no limit. If you add the profits from the amount of times your opponents fold on the push, the times you make them call with a weak hand, and the times when they have a better hand but you suck out, versus the your losses from the times when you don't have the best hand and don't improve, then I'd say this play shows a good profit. Especially if you have any type of read on your opponent, the only hands to be too concerned with were small overpairs like 88, 99 TT, a set, or maybe A9s, A7s, but most were pretty unlikely, and other than a set, it was quite possible they would fold. Sorry for the longwinded post, but i like talking poker, and i like this play. |
