if poker is dangerous to them i would rank sports betting as a Kodiak grizzly bear who smells blood after you just threw a javelin into his cub - RaiNKhAN | Last edit: 05/03/2008 17:49 |

It only makes sense to play it like this if you have a read that your opponent cannot triple barrel bluff/bet light. Dont call the turn if you arent going to call the river imo. |

Exactly, and if you are looking at this as a drawing hand then the river should be an easy fold. But seeing it that way is way to pessimistic. |

this is fucked up and unreal, u have to have some info here at least!
like, is he limping.. what? u know something at least T_T
i think as played i probably call river sadly, draws missed & he can have like 88 here or even overpairs i guess, your hand looks kinda faceup as a pure pair or draw hand and given you dont think you've played with him before he doesnt give u credit for a set or a hand that can call a river shove.. u know? |

well, the problem i have with this is that you've put yourself in a spot on the river where your hand is incredibly under repped but also a spot where he can shove with AsX-high because u look soooo weak so you've kinda put yourself in that situation
im trying to think what i'd do in this situation as standard with no reads.. but i ALWAYS have something to go on and i play like 10 tables so idk how u can have nothing |

as played, i dont hate it.. if spade comes, its sort of good for u cuz it'll get u to a cheap showdown unless he's bluffing u flat out
the problem with playing it this way is the river becomes really read dependant and u have no reads so T_T |
