The worst that could happen is you go all in, he calls and split pot, or he folds and you make the same as you did here, so why not reraise it. You never know, he could have been content to keep on raising even higher values. If you call on the end with the nuts, you lose the money that you could have won if the person called, you get only the money they've already forfeitted.
