So in case anyone was wondering this is what I was talking about with respect to reducing variance in my PLO blog post. Flatting big flop bets and jamming safe turns as opposed to jamming in here on the flop. I also find it adds deception and value to a lot of my strong made hands.

The talk about this hand centers around whether it is better to simply jam in on the flop or flat the big bet and jam most safe turns. In this case my flat actually allowed my opponent to increase the strength of their hand enough to get all-in on the turn. If I Jam flop maybe I don't get that action?

Just means u cant ever bluffraise flop if ur not doing it with ur big hands. maybe u don;t wanna at these limits tho i dunno. Plus u saying "if i jam flop maybe i don't get that action?" is canceled out (if not offset more) by the times when u would've got value from a hand on the flop and a bad turn comes (eg if turn hadn;t given him 2nd boat here but was scary he may fold, when he most likely would've stacked off on flop)

Also bad as it completely reduces the value u get from fish, tho if ur just playing to "reduce variance" then ye i spose it works, tho not even close to playing the most +EV :o If u wanna reduce variance switch to HE
