Villain @ 73/7/1.8 over 267 hands . I had a lot of history with this guy, which influenced my decision a LOT. I knew him to give up to second barrells pretty often as he called the flop with almost anything, but he would make a bluff or bet with a weak hand he'd fold to a bet if I checked to him on the turn. I also knew he'd stack off with any second best hand, and considering his high VPIP I figured he could have a lot of Q's here. So instead of betting the turn which was the standard line, I figured I'd check the turn and not only get money from any Q he had, but also from bluffs and weak hands that he would fold to the second bet. Now, a CRAI on the turn or a lead out on the river might have made more sense, but at the time I felt that he still might fold very weak hands and bluffs to a bet, but he could still bet them all if checked to, and he would definitely bet/call with any Q, so I wasn't losing my chance to stack him, and lastly if he bet a weak hand he might call a CRAI with it because he would have invested a decent amount and might feel like he was somewhat committed (bad players hate folding to a CR).

With all of that in mind, is my deviation from the "standard" line correct here?

he either has the Q and goes broke on turn, or you can't really get any more value of him, and definatelly NOT by checking river when a scarecard hits and a lot of his river calling range checks behind. I raise turn and celebrate that I got him in a setup. and without seeing the results.
