pindertrunkz is another lper. He left the table right after this hand.
I had 36% on the flop and 38% on the turn against kings. |

Figured he was on a big hand and suited connectors play nicely against big hands and I was hoping to abuse position if I could. |

haha, it wasn't a complete ragequit cos of the hand kwark i was actually closing down the session after a few suckouts/beats and saw kings on a table and played them before leaving... played them horribly at that =( |

I dont like it.
Bad pre flop
Bad call on flop
Bad shove on turn
If you truly believe that he holds an overpair why to donk lead like that?
He is in favor to win + this no reason shove in a blank board makes it a snap call IMO.
I saw Ftrunnz's hand and he was holding a kk.
You guessed right that he had an overpair but i do not follow yr thinking.
If you had a set you wouldnt have raised on flop?If you had a jj hand you would have reraised pre and lead/reraise flop right?
He folded cause he had too many coolers and bad beats that day as i can imagine .Otherwise gg no re.

Preflop call I admit was bad with stack sizes. Wasn't a true 3 bet in that the guy who 2 bet it pre minraised it but yeah, I didn't have odds.
That's a flop I can do a lot with imo, first of all it's scary to an overpair with a clear straight out there. Secondly I have top pair which will sometimes be good and vastly increases my suckout odds when it's not. With position there I feel I can defend my flop call.
The turn is a nice scare card for my range and gives me even more outs. With 38% to suck out, a decent amount in the pot and a scared overpair I'm bluffing this spot. It's the kind of turn I called the flop to bluff. If I check here then yes, my flop call was bad. If I'm putting any money in here, I'm putting it all in. I'm committed either way so I'll take all the fold equity I can get and be happy for it. I only need about 10% FE for this to be EV+ and tbh, at least 10% of the time my 9 is still good (AK, AQ etc).
As for the JJ stuff, I call JJ in a 3 bet preflop and I couldn't lead the flop with them, partly because in position I'm not leading anything and partly because I don't lead JJ when I'm putting him on QQ+. |
