I think your play is much too tight. In my opinion you should have reraised once more every street: PF, flop, turn.
you might can get him to fold lower PP, AQ, mid pair, etc... and you can always catch your outs if he doesnt fold...so raise it up! |

reraise the flop here bigballs
if you hit on the turn and he checks to you, your bet doesn't indicate flush, so he will probably pay you off
if you don't hit, you can probably check behind and see a free river, or bet and try and push him off a hand, etc
since the flop is only 1/2 the turn bet, you can play a lot looser on it... if you plan on calling a turn bet anyway, you might as well reraise the flop because the extra $2 is worth it to disguise your hand
in FL, especially shorthanded, i tend to play my draws VERY strongly, because you generally want to give them as many opportunities to fold as possible and it does wonders for table image... sure the variance is high but you get paid off nicely on all your tptk and shit, esp once you showdown a missed draw or two |

if i raise flop and he calls then checks turn, do i give myself free card or bet? if he reraises, should i cap to represent a lot of strength or just call?
what hand range should i put him on if he reraises? |

id probably give myself a free card on the turn if he calls/checks, but its your read on the guy too... is he capable of folding QQ or JJ (hands that he could three bet with but fold here) on the turn if you fire again?
if he 3-bets the flop after your reraise, capping helps narrow his hand range (ie if he calls your cap and bets out on the turn its highly likely he has AK KK AA). if he flat calls your cap and then checks, that's perfect, take the free card if you don't hit.
basically i use the flop to get as much information as possible. i pretty much don't care about it because the bet amounts are so small relative to the pot and the turn/river. if reraising instead of calling makes your turn and river play just a little more accurate, it's worth it. |

i'd cap it on every street if i could. no u don't want free cards. u want to bet to give him chance of folding. your draw is VERY strong. potentially 2 overs, flush, str8 draw. lots of outs if he doesnt fold.

Good to see you are playing many different games besides NLHE.
I actually like just calling the raise pre-flop it conceals your hand quite well. And you have position on him anyway. So you are in real good shape. In limit holdem they are going to make a continuation bet 100% of the time on the flop if they raised and are first to act, so I would re-raise here for a free card on the turn.
In this case he would probably re-raise you again seeing on how he had a powerfull hand, but then you would have more information on his hand. Se that is a good thing even though you have to call another bet to see the river. (Which in my opinion you should do 100% of the time at that point.)
You are 38% to win at the turn and you are facing a bet of 4$ into a 20$ pot.
Good to see you finding some luck for once.
Cheers.
-commented on your Omaha AA67 hand as well. |
