I'm not giving advice - just want to know why are you checking turn on such a drawy board?

I just felt that this particular player was leading out with a weak made hand and was drawing dead on the turn. Plus I can pot control it if he does have a huge draw. I didn't feel like I could get three streets of value from the hand that I put him on
My thinking is probably waay off

I didnt phrase that the way i wanted to
I checked the turn because if i bet 40 onteh urn, then 100 on the river, i felt he would fold all his weak aces, queen hands
where is if i check behind, he'll lead out alot with garbage + i can actually get value from those weak hands.
WHILE at the same time, if hedoes have a flush draw or whaterver, i can only lose 100$ instead of 200$
