hey baal,

is it profitable to call his 3 bet preflop with 3's?

i thought it was a no no since u are not getting very good odds

however i noticed u are slightly deep so maybe that justifies it, can u fill me in on why u calleD?

his range is narrow and his 3-bet is small so my odds are good

lol i just did some maths and EV calculations and you are right, its way +EV to call here, i didnt realise

Fold = $0
Call = -$45 * 7.5 + (794 * 1 * 0.85) + (-720 * 1 * 0.15)

= +$229.4 (assuming you stack him every time)

Assuming he has AA,KK and stacks 50% of the time, and has AK other 50% and u check/fold when u dont hit set:

(0.5 * -$45 * 7.5 + (794 * 1 * 0.85) + (-720 * 1 * 0.15) )+
(0.5 * -$45 * 7.5 + (98 + 102)

= +$229.4 + $29.25

= +$258.65 overall vs AK,KK,AA

free $250 bucks every time u call here vs that range, nice : )

yeah but im only assuming he's stacking off with AA or KK which even if its only a 50% chance he has its still way profitable to call

Calling 3bets with low PP's is spew except when it's deep and it's against a nit. Against a loose agressive player in 6max calling with a low PP preflop is spew because you only take his stack in big setup hands (which don't happen often) and most of the time you're gonna have to fold it.

This hand it's kinda iffy because it's 125bb deep and his reraise is under potsize. He's not getting ridiculous odds at all. This isn't FR where everyone who 3bets has QQ+ Wobbly.

hmm yeah you are right... hey what % of the time do u think he would have a hand he is stacking off with? i want to work out more EV

eg: what % does he have QQ KK AA here opposed to AK and other shit he is folding to the check raise

I have no idea, totally depends on his PFR% and stuff, but I would generally only call people with 12% PFR or lower with low pp's.

Well yeah I made a generalization about FR, but I think most players that play there (? not solid regs) play like 12/9 right?
