yaaaaaaaay! he totally fell for it but i tought he would turn a more raggy Ace into a bluff tbh didnt expect him to turn it with such a good kicker |

Gah, I don't get villain's river raise. His hand surely has great showdown potential, and even if you have air you're hardly calling this river.
Maybe if you have Ax, but your line doesn't make sense for a hand like that.
Am I totally off base here? |

Wow, that is a totally beautiful line. The river bet is really the icing on the cake. You totally induced him. |

And I don't think he was turning it into a bluff. I think he was going for very thin value against an apparent blocking bet from a weaker ace. |

No. He's pushing in 100 BB there, he's not getting called by a weaker ace here ever.
I'd much rather do this as a bluff if I was villain. |

we are too deep to get value from an ace, maybe if we were 100bb deep...
i think he is just mixing his range knowing that there is no value in raising if i have a weaker ace and also that we are deep enough to make me fold some king because well, the way he played he hand he is repping KQ+ and i "should" fold KJ if i really bough his line.
i didnt snap call like "zomg trips calls" his line says he has me beat but the line i took could have induced his Ace and i actually expected him to do so with an ace with no showdown value like A9s or AT |

uhm. considering the fact that villain is an idiot, a retarded value bet is not implausible. |

in fact, an idiot turning a hand with such definitive showdown value into a bluff (really advanced in rare spots) is more unlikely than a retarded value bet imo. |

Dunno. If he doesn't respect you yet he could very well be doing this for value [as he has the nut two pair] and your line looks exactly like the line a weak player would take with a marginal ace. I'm pretty sure he'd be willing to do this even 150BB deep. |
