Oh lord, don't miniraise, it looks sooooooooooooo stupid. Nice work on the pot though. Also, turn bet is very weak considering the size of the pot at that point, not to mention the river.

Well the miniraise isn't exactly the best way to lure calls, it's something fishes do when they have a hand and it's very easy to read to anyone with a brain (which might not apply to these opponents though).

The point is, you have the best hand but the less you bet, the better odds you're giving your opponents to draw out on you. Also, if you bet more on flop, you can bet more on turn and river as well. But turn $7 is 1/3 of the pot. That means they're getting 4-to-1 to call ye, while this ain't so bad, consider them getting like 6-to-1 implied odds here since you're probably going to bet/call river too if they hit their miracles (since the stacks aren't that much deeper than what's been bet already). They need 8-to-1 to draw to 2 pair though, but if the third player called there too, it wouldn't have been so far from it. It's afterall, just one pair. Assume you're against A4 and A5, they have already 6 outs combined to draw out on you, not to mention if you're against AJ (As you were here) and T9. That'd give them 8 outs, which is already 5-to-1.

Well I hope I made my point. You might not give one opponent sufficient odds to call but since these players love to chase, you have to consider TWO opponents combined drawing out on you instead of just one, even when they aren't really a team. You want to play your top pair rather heads up than 3-way. Hope that made any sense and wasn't horribly wrong.
