Edjon   Netherlands. May 21 2008 09:31. Posts 1579 I think its true that often if shoved you only get called by a better hand or a preflop. On the other, if you miss the flop, he can relative pick up the pot with a worse hand. So shoving is a trade off. Against loose players (pfr > 25%) I normally shove oop (assumed you play for 1 buy in). In position I sometimes call and evaluate on flop. btw villain is gold!
