I'm unsure of a couple of things :
- check/calling the flop : I thought I'd leave him a chance, probably bad play, should have reraised or at least bet
- on the river, I was really feeling he had a Q, couldn't trust myself |

Put in a raise on the flop. It represents to him that you have a jack or a strong queen. He'll more than likely reraise you with a jack (meaning you probably have the best hand cause of your strong kicker) or just call it with a queen. Information like this helps you in making laydowns when you're beat.
Trips are a good hand, but it's best not to slow play them in cash games, particularly at the lower limits where the calling stations will pay off your agression anyway. |
