I think you played it ok.
Given the fact that you are certain he has a big pair, most players will bet their pair here. I think a shove it too strong. My guess is that he called you because you river play indicates that either you hit the river or are bluffing. If you lead the river he would have only called most of the times (unless he has a hand like a9 but then the money would have gone allin on the river either way). Most players won't call a shove with kings with 2 nines on the board (unless of course he is a real idiot) |
