This lay down, felt tough at the time, but i am sure i did the right thing. I was 3 betting to $16 preflop here to get a lot of value, because "lisanto" was a huge fish and had dropped 2 buyins already.
CJS is solid and i hadnt seen him get out of line. The flat call in position really made me think he had QQ. He wouldnt tell me what he had. But he said I was "too good". I don't know about that, but i think i did make the right lay down considering we were both 125bb+

Your hand looks like a squeeze i can't think that someone at NL100 would be flat calling with QQ and letting a K or A hit the board. IF i had QQ in villian's position i'd be shoving it so often. The only big hand that i'm calling like that POSSIBLY is AA and raising your CB on the flop. But with QQ i don't like it. His calling range could be stuff like mid pairs, mid suited connectors. This could be J10s. I really can't think this is a laydown.

I think it's more likely he has KQ. Your preflop should be like 19 IMO but taht's nitpicking.

True - it should have been $19. U r spot on there.

I just went with my gut & it said fold.

KQ suited is more likely to be what he has. I agree. Trying to flop a big drawy hand or 2 pair on the flop.

As for flatting QQ, some players will flat it HU. But more importantly in this scenario this is a multi-way pot. Flatting with QQ here isn't profitable, and 4x betting me for isolation is the right play.

Thanks for the feedback.

also i do feel that if you felt it was the right play then that's cool. i think too many people go with hands on worse boards. like having KK on a 8910 all spades and they don't have a spade. so i think laying down in a marginal situation is cool, and something that all players should learn how to do... i just didn't think this was one of them :D
