>>> Huge hand, I put them both on AA/KK but I couldn't lay it down. Was that a bad call on my part (combined with my gutshot)?

damn it's late I should reword my question for clarity: I felt like a huge underdog here, and was putting up a lot of my stack at stake. I think calling on the flop wasbad..your guys' thoughts? Was it really worth it (also considering the gutshot draw)?

Work out the odds, if you put them on overpairs as you claim, that means you were drawing to 6 outs. 6 outs is around 14% to see the turn. You pay $6 for it and the final pot you won was $53.05. So you don't have the implied odds to call the flop, even if you stack both of your opponents like you did here. And I didn't even consider the fact that even if you hit your 9, the board could still pair and screw you over.

So if you think you're up against AA/KK/JJ/TT here, toss it to a raise and a reraise.

[edit] Calling the first $3 would be closer to break even if you assumed you can get both of their stacks if you hit.

Floofy says: my dick is easily bigger than 90% of guys i checked it on the net | Floofy says: i im also doing movements Last edit: 07/01/2006 04:59
