His lack of a raise pf makes it harder, but as soon as I saw the flop I thought to myself that it was a dangerous straight to draw to.

That damn queen there makes your straight no good if a jack comes. So really you are only drawing to 4 sure outs.

People like to play high cards, but even with the action, you can't be sure that you are beaten. So I like your play. Just don't raise the river.

well my thoughts were really simillar, but my opponents really didnt show any sign of having AK

Hrmm lets rethink this.

Your opponents probably didn't have a Q or T because they didn't bet the river. No continuation bets, so they are probably either slowplaying (as the two pair guy did) or have a draw to something.

So AK isn't an unreasonable holding if you assume that they are drawing. But none the less, I don't think that once you make that straight that you throw it away. I think calling down is reasonable. Even though two of them say that they have something. The one guy could have been slowplaying two pair (as he was) and the other guy could have A-J and be thinking that the other jerk is trying to steal the pot.


I'm pretty sure though that you aren't justified in calling a 3:1 bet on the turn with your 10:1 gutshot.
