yes its terrible, checking such a strong hand where he should happily stack off vs me on a wet board |

yea he plays a really weird style. pot controls a lot of mediocre hands on dry boards, and even strong hands on wet boards (wtfs). i had a very similar hand vs him where i flopped nut flush draw and would've got it in vs his overpair but he just went into c/c mode and he only won like 1/4th of a buyin from me. |

it sure is unorthodox but I think its definitely something you need to do against regs sometimes and its sometimes really good to take lines like this. Sure he probably has like 60% equity on the flop against ur range but by playing it strangely he can extract more money while being hugely ahead |

i totally disagree, this hand is an example of why, he could ahve taken me to valuetown, yet he was very close to get owned by himself, especially when a 30% VPIP flats from the blinds u cant check that flop |

well if you are agressive he will check this flop with a wide range so balancing it with checking behind QQ is fine imo. Idk what kind of range you get it in here vs him but with QQ against your entire range i dont think he makes more than this on average by leading flop. Obv betting flop is very standard and he should be doing that 95% of the time, but checking behind and playing it like this 5% of the time is definitely not a leak imo. |

I also like to take lines like this with QQ etc some times vs regulars. They do a lot of incredible stupid stuff against you, by the "reads" they learned from cardrunners. |

this is definitely fine to do here and there but can get pretty bad if you overdo it. plus it's really good when you get some like really heater-momentum and then all of a sudden you just attack every single pot no matter what, because when people realize you are capable of playing all your hands in a variety of weird ways then they will fold a lot more
seems like argoe is overdoing it but having plays like this in your game is pretty important vs regs |
