i think this is definitely a call on river for 1/2 pot if he was fullstacked
u split with a lot of aces who will bet that river after u check turn
+ a lot if queens may even value bet here ! reason is !
remeber on flop he checked and u bet
-> ure range looks weaker than it actually is
if ure the preflop raiser and it gets checked to u ,u usually bet a much much wider range than just an A that hit !
in fact u would probably bet most of ure pockets , any Q any draws
on flop u check behind -> ure range looks even weaker in his eys
u split with A6 A7 A8 A9
u beat every Q that may value bet for the reasons above ( espacially QT is very much in his range here imo)
vs the shortstack he is
I think both calling and folding are fine
