I knew he did not have AA/KK should i have just pushed on flop?

Posts 8649 i think you should bet more than half the pot on the flop with 2 diamonds when you have a high pp (or if like you said you're confident he doesn't have AA/KK you could checkraise the flop). he could've put you on the flush draw and been raising with any two cards. as played it's pretty hard to get away from it on the turn, just make a note that he raises pf with 99.
