Exactly what I was thinking. Def wouldn't be jamming spots like this at all is there is a straight/flush on the board. |

In a limped pot OOP with bottom set and boat blockers I doubt I would be leading the flop here. I'd definitely be very careful, because you have to think about what people would continue with facing action. If you lead out on the flop and get raised I'd say it's a snapfold, because I doubt anyone would raise you in this spot with anything worse than a big combo draw or a nut straight (unless they were bluffing with air, which will still be rare here) and you are blocking your own redraws to boot. 2pair hands that you actually beat won't pay off more than one street if they pay off any imo. Really you beat nothing that plays past the turn and you are hurting your chances of catching up.
That being said, my line would probably be to check the flop and maybe flat a bet if it is HU back to me, and fold if there is at least a bet and a call, and I would only call if I think someone is capable of bluffing here at all to try and pick up the pot. If the turn completes anything you have to fold it to another bet and only if it is a blank or pairs the board would I think about calling another bet. Bottom set is just not strong at all on this board against action imo. |

The only betting I'd be doing on this board would be to bluff, and that is kind of hard to do OOP in PLO. I think the only chance you had of winning the hand was to bet the river again, but I don't think it should have gotten that far in the first place. I'd imagine the nut straight would have raised you on the safe turn after slowplaying the flop to make sure he wasn't getting freerolled or whatever, so I doubt he has a spade draw with anything in his range here other than maybe a set sometimes (and you are actually blocking those possibilities here obv ), so most likely he has a hand that didn't like the river and you might be able to salvage the hand by getting him off of it there. So if you think he could fold a lower straight or a set to a big bet on this river then maybe it is worth while. |

I'd check the flop and might call off one street.
If on the turn I thought they had a straight I would fold no hesitation. |
