I know dusty wont like this (and I know I played it bad) but I still want some opinions on this hand.
Cardman was very loose so I knew I would get over 3:1 on my money pre so I think the call pre was ok. Since Amarillos also had a strong range I didnt want to get 4bet by him.
When the flop came I put Amarillos on AA, AK, KK.. Loesje82 instacalled and I cant see how his range cant be something else but KQ and a draw. If he has a flushdraw (and not a straightdraw) I am pretty crushed. I was also afraid of a C/R from the blinds if they had a strong hand.
I know I cant call pre and when I flop the draw I fold, but this was a very special situation. The only options here is AI or fold. Maybe I can get a fold from Loesje82 and then play the draw against Amarillos. With all the dead money in the pot I probably would have had odds for that.
(later with oyvind in the pot too I would definitively have had odds but I didnt know that then)
So... fold or raise? |

I dont want cardman in the pot. I cant see how that would be profitable. And if, like in this case, oyvind reraises and amarillos goes AI I have to call AI with a draw instead of having atleast some FE.
With this hugh pot, all the money will also go into the middle on the turn with a blank and I dont have odds to call to just see one card.
If I also am the only one with a diamond draw and the turn is a diamond AA/AK/KQ probably will shut down and wont give any more value. I dont think call would be +EV, but I might be wrong.. |

I calculated some in pokerstove:
if I call, oyvind raises, amarillos goes AI and I have to call AI I will have about 23% equity.
If I go AI and only amarillos calls I´ll have about 43% equity.
However I am not shure how I shall calculate the fact that oyvind has a hand here if I go AI. Should I even take this into considoration or should I just focus on the players that have already bet?
If I should include oyvind, should I put in his range (the range that he can call my AI with) or should I put in his exact hand because I couldnt know that he would have a hand?
Against oyvinds and amarillos range I have about 27% equity + some FE against amarillos
against amarillos range and oyvinds hand I have 33% equity
If I should put in oyvinds callingrange into the equation it was a correct fold, if I should put in his hand (since I couldnt know he would have a hand) AI would have been better. And shouldnt I even take oyvind into the equation it was a very bad fold.
Ideas? |

you need to think about how often the blinds will actually have a hand if you want to analyse it like that(seems like its gonna be a pretty small amount..?)
how does cardman being in the pot make it less profitable?
Not saying i disagree with this but im curious to your objection to the call |

I can buy the blind-problem... So when I make my decision on the flop I shall only consider those who has only put money in the pot already?
Why I dont like call: cardmans range is a whole bunch of draws, and if we are up against a flushdraw we are pretty much drawing dead. So we want to get rid of him and the only way of doing that is to push. I also dont think we wil get paid of very much if the flush completes. I think call is -EV (or atleast the worst option). So either push or fold. I´ll go with pinballs option: AI |
