He's not pot committed with bottom pair, bottom kicker. I doesn't even seem like they stopped to think whether or not they had any outs. If they put you on nuts, they're dead. A set, dead to a 4, and a 2 or 3 is no good. We're they hoping you had just a pair and hoped to hit runners. Even if you had the low end of the straight the best they can do is tie. Ridiculous, but good for you. Players like that make poker much easier.
