he said he had KK but a few hands later he told he had aces.
anyway against most people with a full stack i think its a fold here... |

I sometimes fold AA preflop to balance my range

against most tight people yes, against most people no.
Donks will play AK QQ KK (maybe JJ TT AQ) that way all day, and most ppl are donks |

james9994: make note dont play against floofy, ;(

If he is as tight as you say, its a good fold, but if there is any reasonable chanse he doesnt have AA, even if you think he is 70% likely to have aces, you need to call here. You have about a little better than 2to1 on your money, so if he is likely to have aces 2/3 times, you are even money, then you consider the 1/6 times your kings will improve and beat his aces as profit. You don't worry about the times when he doesnt have aces and wins, because in this situation you will show an automatic profit seeing as the odds are in your favour in both the pot and the cards. It's a tough laydown, you need to be very certain he wouldn't make a similar play with QQ, or AKs, if he would do the same with either of these hands, then you have to call. |
