Another important stat is how often is he raising PF? because if he is raising around or less than 20 percent PF and folding to almost 90 percent of 3bets then I dont think you should cbet because he is OOP (so AK probably ships it in PF); therefore I think that most of his range is pairs, and he's not folding a pair 66+ on this flop (b/c why would he call PF to fold this flop?) Also, he's getting in with any flush draw (which is a small part of his range). If he seems like a reasonable player, then I think that you can assume his flat call OOP is a sign of strength (like I said, some kind of pair). I think if the flop had come Q106, it would be much better for cbetting because I think you can fold out pairs smaller than a Q that didn't hit a set; however when he calls you should probably be done with the hand (which it looks like you knew because you checked it down). Also, I don't think this flop is good for cbetting against stationy players either in this spot because they will probably call atleast one bet and you're in position and your hand has showdown value.
This is just my take on it, though. I hope it helps.
Also, thanks for the advice in my blog about betting closer to pot with my value bets. You were right about pot-sized bets getting called just as often as 2/3 size bets. |
