folding would be stupid, what's the point of 3betting pf and folding on a good board?

well you 3bet because you think he will fold right? And when he calls you put him on AQ JJ+. And maybe you 3bet a hand like this because he will fold or 3bet alot preflop, hence you want to polarize your 3betting. You see what i mean?

I don't really see him folding better too often when you shove. If you are prepared to to do that, surely you might as well call twice?

Researchers used brain scans to show that when straight men looked at pictures of women in bikinis, areas of the brain that normally light up in anticipation of using tools, like spanners and screwdrivers, were activated.

agree with oly, the only thing we sacrifice by calling turn is giving freecard, which prolly is like 10-15% of equity we give him. If he is stupid enough to bet-fold A9 or KT then I guess shoving is nice, but I dont think it happens that much.

As well we are blocking the J for him, if he has like QJ or KJ, even if that gives him straight cards to hit.

But I think if we call turn, and river is an 8, we call again. And if river is K or Q and he shoves, we fold. If river is an Ace and he shoves, I think we might call, depending on if he likes to bluff. If river is like 5,4,3,2 and he shoves, I think we can fold. But I see alot of ppl betting turn as a bluff, but discouraged by your call, checks river. And I think alot off ppl can check down JT QT on river.

It must be more, he has like 10 outs or so all the time here, and he opened UTG so he shouldn't have anything that hits this hard except overpairs and maybe TT. Don't see how we can know which outs are good either, except 7 and the straight outs.

Board: Tc 4h 9h 7d
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 82.107% 82.11% 00.00% 8237 0.00 { 87s }
Hand 1: 17.893% 17.89% 00.00% 1795 0.00 { 66-55, AJs, KJs+, QJs, AJo, KJo+, QJo }

Seems fair, that is what i would give him as a reasonable bluffrange.

You are right, its not easy to know what card will hit him or not. But I dont think he will bluff river 2/3/4/5 if he has KQ KJ QJ, just some ppl that goes for bigger bluffs, saying 2 streets in RR pot.
