like u can do that if u want but the reason i like to go 5.5 is
i don't give them as good a odds pre so i 3bet light a lot this gets me more folds.
they make a bigger mistake calling 22 when u go to 5.5 with ur aces |

well if you 3-bet to 5; 5,5 or 4,5 imo doesnt matter... you have to be consistent to one player in a hu game. i also 3-bet him al lot with crap just to make sure to maximizes my chances i would get paid off with premium hand.
I used 4,5 so... why should i do 5,5 if i have aces then along with all the crap i have 3-bet him already |

more fe on light 3bets |
ok thats true...
and i also see the advantage for building pot better if you 3-bet more, however i said before if people are calling me light pf i want to be able to stab at the flop as well... This costs me less if i 3-bet less. |

3betting to 5.50 serves 2 purposes
a. gets drawing hands out
b. after u do it alot w/ a wide range u get paid more with ur big hands and you inflate the pots so its harder for them to fold when they hit a pair or tp vs your tptk or overpair or whatnot
also gets them to reshove draws when the pots 11 and u bet 7, and u can snap them with bigger hands, opposed to the pot being 9 and u betting 5-7, more temptation is good

but most of the time iam 3-betting crap and i dont want them to gambol on a draw...
iam fully aware of building pot and how to do so, but if you 3-bet them often they call you also light on the flop so in that way iam building my pot.
Nothing wrong with the advice though. I have to say i am not like a robot and always 3-betting the same amount. Only in this situation against this player well i used 4,5 no big deal... |
