the flop is quite dry and if vil has an ace and doesn't think that they can extract value on the flop (plus fear of getting check raised) might they then check behind and try on the turn?

is this a line that vil's ever take?

maybe AT and worse, AJ+ would bet flop here usually

river is a good card to c/c again, makes it even less likely he has a better hand

agg factors on turn and river help here a lot tho for sure

if villain had an ace why would he be afraid of being c/r?

The only hands a nit balances in his range are the nuts, the second nuts, and the third nuts.

lol I just felt like throwing that in there but like lachlan said, he might have a weaker Ace, since he raised in MP.

in the end i agree that checking behind on flop is a pretty big indication of something going on, im prolly just overthinking things.

plus on the river he only beats a bluff pretty much so he mightve lucked out this time
