Why are you raising so small every hand. Granted this is a cooler but that's not what's important. He's betting half pot here on a fairly wet board. He may not necessarily have these draws, but if they do come they will surely slow down your action vs. an over pair. When he leads half pot here just jack it up to like .75 at least. Again on the turn he leads for 2/3 pot, jack him up to 3.5 at least. This way on the river, even if a scare card comes, he is so much more committed to the pot since he'll only have $4 in front of him instead of $5.50 that you'll be much more likely to get the rest in. Also, if he does have a hand like AKd which is completely reasonable here, then you need to make him pay for it. |
