as far as i can tell, it's a value bet/blocking bet. He thinks he's ahaead with the AT, so bets out with ti rather than having Dariominieri check behind with a weaker ace (as would be the case if flush didnt come), or bet out big (potsized) and thus giving gandi a tough decision. After the reraise preflop he can pretty easily eliminate 2/3/4 from hsi holdings, and after the check on the turn it's very unlikely dariominieri is holding a pocket pair, so only the flush, AJ-AK, and A5 are really beating him, perhaps also 56s if he's willing to reraise with it preflop. |
