- this is a hand I usually dump up front, but nobody was raising at this particular table so I thought I could get in cheap. sam_abc claimed to have AQ, and Im thinking I shouldve pushed harder on the flop.

This is probably fine to limp at lower limit games where nobody is raising much. I'd probably even play it at 100nl on a super passive table. It's also good that there is a limper in front of you. If there wasn't a limper then you would either need to raise or fold.

AQ is a pretty good fold by sam for a low limit player.. but you were both pretty deep too so that may have scared him. I agree that raising this flop is best, for several reasons (although I don't think calling is completely terrible). For one, you and sam are pretty deep.. so getting more in on the flop can make stacking him an easier process. In addition, I'm inclined to think he either has a pretty good hand or strong draw when he leads .80 into .60 3 way here, so I figure he'll call a raise for sure.

Also, this is a pretty draw heavy flop. JT obviously but any heart as well. Sam lead pretty hard so I think AQ makes sense for him here, but the other guy just flatting could easily have any draw. Any heart, K or 8 will really kill action if Sam has AQ here, and may even give the other guy the best hand. So for starters, raising is good to make draws pay, but to also get more money in before scary cards come. Furthermore, Sam will be much more likely to put you on some type of draw and call down if you raise the flop rather than the turn. Most players with JT or hearts wouldn't raise this blank turn card.

As played though it's pretty standard and I wouldn't really say there are any huge leaks here. I used to just call here in this spot a lot of the time too. The thing I'd note is that sam is capable of making bigger folds, so this is a player you will be able to run a few bluffs on if the situation warrants it.
